Kerry is a highly qualified and experienced professional with over 25 years of new product development expertise in the food and complementary medicines industry. She is a qualified food technologist, naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist, and researcher. Kerry’s career includes roles with a diverse range of clients and companies, such as vertically integrated farmers, start-ups, small and medium businesses, and large corporate businesses.

Throughout her career, Kerry has been instrumental in the creation and launch of thousands of iconic foods and supplements for the world's best brands. Kerry has worked on a wide array of food products including, nutritional formulas, sports foods, novel foods, functional foods, healthy snacks and bars, ambient stable foods, fresh and dehydrated dairy products, and plant-based products. Kerry also works with medicinal formats such as new therapeutic ingredients tablets, capsules, shots, and gummies.

Kerry is a passionate advocate of healthy food, holistic health, and using food-as-medicine. Her unique qualifications, experience and skill set allow her to dig deep into the science of food and medicine to research and strategise new opportunities based on emerging technologies, trends, and gaps in the market.  She can also realistically design your products to meet the rigorous safety, stability, and regulatory requirements of regulatory bodies, such as Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) or The Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA). Additionally, Kerry can help you decide whether to position your concept as a food or medicine.

Kerry is a well-connected industry professional. She is an active member of the Australian Institute of Food Science (AIFST), where she serves on the Queensland branch committee and belongs to two special interest groups for Consulting & Product Innovation. She is also a member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) and the Australian Traditional medicine Society (ATMS). Kerry is an active volunteer mentor for Food Tech Tasmania’s annual ‘Startupbootcamp’, a program that supports ambitious early-stage Food, Aqua or AgriTech startups.
